About us
Konoplja.org is an information and education project dedicated to clearer, responsible and source-based information about hemp, cannabis, other psychoactive substances and harm reduction.
Mission
Clear information for safer decisions
The project connects content for people who use substances, family members, older adults, professionals, organisations, growers and decision-makers. We help visitors understand the context, check sources and make better informed decisions.
Our focus is on reducing health, social and legal harms. We provide information without moralising or stigma and clearly distinguish scientific evidence, expert interpretation, experience and opinion.
Legal and editorial operator
Konoplja.org is a project of Zavod za informacijsko dejavnost in alternativno kulturo.
The Institute manages the project, its archive and editorial work, and provides professional services. Commissions do not influence editorial findings.
How we work
Editorial principles
We prepare important content so its purpose, sources and limits are clear.
Human review
Tools may assist in preparing material, but a person makes the final editorial decision. We correct errors and significant changes.
Clear boundaries
We distinguish facts, interpretation and opinion. Paid services and partnerships do not determine editorial findings.
Project history
From an idea to today's work
Konoplja.org preserves the project's history and the community archive while adding newer sources and a clearer structure to older content.
1997
The first project work, content development and connections among contributors.
2000
Public presentation of Konoplja.org in Celje on 5 December.
2001–2002
Establishment of the Institute and registration on 14 February 2002.
Today
Verifiable content, an archive, education, projects and professional services.

Information, education and collaboration
Over the years, Konoplja.org has connected information, education, agriculture, development and public health activities. It has contributed to professional events, the work of non-governmental organisations, public policy debates and harm reduction content.
The existing forum remains an important archive of the community's discussions and knowledge.
